My town is not listed

BinPilot publishes a community only once its schedule has been checked against the city’s own sources. Until then it tells you plainly that the area is not covered, rather than showing you a neighbouring town’s collection day — a wrong day is worse than no day.

You can register your address on unigata.com so we know where to go next, and we will tell you the moment it is verified.

A collection day looks wrong

Please tell us, and include the diagnostics log: in the app, open Settings → Diagnostics, tap Copy, and paste it into your email. It records what the app fetched and what failed. It contains no addresses, no names and no passwords.

Municipalities do change days and sometimes publish late or incorrectly. Your city’s own published calendar is always the authoritative source.

The calendar stops part way through the year

Cities publish a year at a time. Past the last published date BinPilot says the schedule is not published beyond that day rather than inventing dates that look plausible. When your city publishes the next year, it appears on its own.

I am not getting reminders

Reminders are part of BinPilot Household. If they are switched on in Settings → Reminders but nothing arrives, check that notifications are enabled for BinPilot in your phone’s own settings — the app will say so on that screen when they are not.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so they are managed in your device’s account settings. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf, and refunds are handled under Apple’s or Google’s own policies.

If a subscription lapses, your calendar and the Sort look-up keep working — they are free. The roster pauses and you return to one saved address; your household, roster and duty history are kept.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, in Settings. You will be asked to type the word DELETE, because it cannot be undone. If you are the administrator of a household, deleting your account closes that household for everyone in it.

See the Privacy Policy for exactly what deletion destroys and what is retained.

Proof photos

Our copy is deleted automatically on the evening before your household’s next garbage collection — one collection cycle, never longer.

The copy on a phone stays. BinPilot keeps proofs inside the app’s own private storage on the phone that took the photo, and on any phone that has viewed it, so they are not in your camera roll and nothing else on the phone can see them. We do not delete those and we cannot reach them — they go when that person deletes the app or clears its data. To put a proof in your normal photo gallery, open the Schedule tab, tap the collection day and choose Save to device — it appears only on a day that already has a photo. That copy is entirely yours.
