ChorePilot Terms of Use

1. Who these terms are with

ChorePilot is provided by UNIGATA INC., incorporated federally in Canada under the Canada Business Corporations Act on 21 July 2026 (corporation number 1810454-9), with its registered office in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By installing or using ChorePilot you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. What ChorePilot does

ChorePilot lets a household or a team assign tasks, follow progress, and keep a photographic record that work was done.

It is a coordination tool, not a supervision system. It records what members choose to record.

3. Your account

You need an account to share a household or team. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.

4. Households, teams and administrators

A household or team has an administrator — the person who created it.

• The administrator can add and remove members, assign tasks, and delete the group.
• Removing a member deletes that member's proof photos. That is deliberate: a photo belongs to the group only while its subject is in it.
• Members can see each other's tasks, completions and proof photos within the same group. They cannot see anything outside it.
• ⚠ Do not use ChorePilot to record someone who has not agreed to be recorded.

5. Subscriptions and payment

ChorePilot is a subscription. There is no free tier — every proof photo costs storage to hold, and to delete on schedule.

• Free trial. New accounts may receive a 7-day free trial, granted once per account. Reinstalling or using a different device does not grant another.
• Price and term. CAD $4.99 monthly, CAD $49.99 annually, or CAD $99.99 once for a permanent licence. Prices are shown in your local currency at the point of purchase, and the price you see there governs.
• A permanent licence is a one-time purchase for the version line it was bought in. It is not a promise of every future feature.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID (or Google account on Android) at confirmation of purchase. We never see or hold your payment details.
• Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings — not here; we cannot cancel it for you.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
• Price changes are notified in advance, and you may cancel before they take effect.
• If your subscription lapses, paid features stop but nothing is deleted — your household, tasks and history are kept until you delete them.

⚠ There is no advertising in ChorePilot, and no advertising SDK in the build.

6. Proof photos

• The photo stays yours. You give us only the limited permission needed to store it and show it to the other members of your group — nothing else. We do not use it for any other purpose, we do not use it to train anything, and we do not show it to anyone outside your group.
• Photograph the work, not people. Do not upload anything unlawful, and do not upload a photograph of a person who has not agreed to it.
• Proof photos are deleted when the member who took them is removed, and when the group or the account is deleted. ⚠ An automatic time-based purge is built but not yet running — see the Privacy Policy, §6.

7. Acceptable use

Do not: use ChorePilot unlawfully; try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it; use it to harass, monitor or coerce anyone; or upload content you have no right to upload.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

8. Availability

We try to keep ChorePilot working and we do not promise it always will. Reminders depend on your device and its operating system, which may delay or suppress a notification for reasons outside our control. ChorePilot is not a substitute for your own judgement about whether something was done.

9. Ending

You may stop using ChorePilot and delete your account at any time, from inside the app. We may end your access if you break these terms.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any missed task, dispute, or lost time arising from your use of ChorePilot.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to CAD $50.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in a small-claims court that would otherwise have jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date changes, and a material change will be surfaced in the app before it takes effect.
